About the Position: This position is located in the Directorate of Operations, Planning & Support Production Engineering Division at Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg, PA.
Duties
Create reports on system progress.
Maintain changes to configuration data for system maintenance.
Ensure testing of programs completion dates are met.
Review documentation to ensure comprehensive is recorded.
Apply processes to consistently maintain functionality of performance quality.
Conduct program audits to maintain optimal configuration.
Verify application changes to control processes.
Track data changes to ensure visibility of status accounts.
Resolve improper codify to avoid negative performance.
Provide insight of configuration modification changes.
Establish priorities for the completion of work in accordance with agency policies.
Recommend program improvements for long-range planning purposes.
Oversee complex work for system programs sustainment.
Resolve conflicts and changes as appropriate.
Conduct studies on configuration trends to adhere of set requirements.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Must submit an OGE-450 Financial Disclosure statement upon appointment and annually thereafter.
- Must be able to occasionally travel (10%) to attend workshops, training, or seminars.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). GS-09: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) maintaining an automated repository database of configurations programs; 2) providing report status updates of phased and/or program schedules; and 3) processing data provisions in compliance of configuration management policies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
GS-11: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) verifying database functionalities to ensure system controls are compatible within programs; 2) maintaining data records of configuration item status; and 3) providing configuration technical guidance for applications. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
GS-12: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) validating data changes made against predefined baselines; 2) reviewing configuration processes for modifications requirements, and 3) providing management on visibility expected configuration elements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07, 09, and 11).
