You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER in the SUPPORT DEPARTMENT at the NAVY SUBMARINE TORPEDO FACILITY (NSTF).
Duties
You will direct, coordinate, and oversee the work of subordinates and other staff regarding policies, procedures, and directives of higher-level management of the command.
You will assign work to subordinates based on priorities and selective consideration of the employee’s capabilities.
You will prepare for annual Torpedo Certification and Examination Board (TCEB) inspections and responds to findings and recommendations.
You will develop performance standards, evaluate subordinate supervisor’s performance and serve as a reviewing official on evaluations of nonsupervisory employees rated by subordinate supervisors.
You will analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of operations and implement ways to improve operations and increase the quality of the work of subordinates.
You will determine overtime requirements and recommend awards and/or bonuses for subordinates.
You will develop and implement methods to eliminate or reduce significant bottlenecks and barriers to torpedo production, promote team building and improve business practices.
You will manage the implementation and execution of the MK-48 Torpedo Logistics Management System at NSTF.
You will determine allocations of financial resources and implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets through the execution phase.
You will review all purchase card transactions to validate availability of funds and verify purchase is not prohibited in accordance with established guidelines.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- This position requires rotating shift work.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

- Position holds a role in Nuclear Deterrent Mission (NDM).
Qualifications
To qualify for the SUPERVISORY ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER, GS-0341-12 position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience with the MK-48 torpedo enterprise mission requirements and, in the analysis, and planning of objectives and priorities to determine allocation of resources.
Experience with the torpedo enterprise mission, and the integrated logistics support program including acquisition, support agreements, and supply chain quality requirements.
Experience applying various methods and techniques for investigating, analyzing, and achieving corrective action within the MK-48 Heavyweight Torpedo Logistics Program.
Experience with environmental protection policies and procedures, operation, storage, maintenance, disposal, labeling, marking, source separation, identification, chemical characterization, HAZMAT disposal, record keeping, sampling techniques, compliance program mechanics, training methods, incident response, and implementation strategies inherent to environmental protection management.
Experience with facility maintenance, planning, and military construction programs, to include experience reading and interpreting specifications and plans.
Experience with policies and procedures related to financial management, contract administration, engineering, information technology, torpedo production, and facilities management.
