You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER in the Command and Administration Program for NAVWPNSTA.

Duties

You will develop administrative policies and procedures (e.g., legal, security, manpower billeting) for an organization. You will establish short- and long-range plans to accomplish program objectives. You will analyze administrative programs to improve processes and procedures. You will determine the impact of administrative instructions on an organization.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Advising personnel on administrative policies and procedures; 2) Developing solutions to administrative operations issues; 3) Monitoring suspense items to ensure timely completion; 4) Leading or mentoring a team to accomplish administrative operation tasks; and 5) Implementing administrative policies and procedures in accordance with organization's mission and objectives. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
  • Successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
  • Successfully completed three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.

  • Have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
