About the Position: 596th Transportation Brigade provides surface deployment and distribution services from Military Ocean Terminal Sunny Point, Military Ocean Terminal Concord, the West Coast and Alaska, in order to project combat power and lethality and meet our nation's strategic objectives.
Duties
Manage scheduling and maintenance on equipment.
Utilize automated maintenance and supply databases to enter, correct, and retrieve recurring maintenance reports.
Prepares, issues, and submits work orders.
Coordinates with contractors/activities in securing the precise parts/supplies/equipment.
Collect data on vehicle use, expenses, and income to identify problems or trends.
Dispatch operational equipment from terminal as required.
Utilize government purchase card and maintain internal audit trail to account for supply documents.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to safely operate motor vehicle.
- Must be able to obtain and/or maintain a valid state driver’s license.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes overseeing the operation, maintenance and repair of fleet motor vehicles; scheduling and rotating vehicle usage; tracking utilization and cost by vehicle; entering work orders into automated system; and processing transactions while maintaining records and receipts according to regulations and/or policy. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
