About the Position:
The 20th CBRNE Command (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosives) is the higher headquarters for the majority of Army's CBRNE and explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) units assigned to US Army Forces Command. The 52D Ordnance Group is a subordinate of the 20th CBRNE Command located at Fort Campbell, KY.
Duties
Provide budget analysis functions for an assigned activity.
Participate in development of budget plans for the organization which meet customer needs.
Review financial program execution for the organization to ensure requirements are being met.
Manage personnel within the financial organization to complete execution of organizational goals.
Developing and carrying out written and oral strategies for presenting the budget, including quarterly management briefings and recommendations for any mid-year reprogramming and adjustments.
Understanding of the headquarters mission, functions, programs, and objectives in order to review, analyze, adjust and approve budgetary requirements for allocations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position requires the employee to meet Financial Management Certification Level II.
- Some overtime work will be required during heavy workload periods, e.g., year-end budget close-out activities.
- Business travel is required up to 25%.
- This position requires a one-year Probationary Period.

Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes
1) Providing advice and guidance in the development of budget requests and related supporting documentation for assigned budget, reviews and edit budget.
2) Analyzes estimates to eliminate duplication of administrative functions and reconcile estimates.
3) Monitors the execution of an approved operating budget and assure funds are properly allocated and are being obligated and spent in accordance local guidance.
4) Utilizes Financial Management (FM) Systems to research and resolve accounting issues and execute current and expired year appropriated funding.
5) Recommend redistribution of funds within assigned budget.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
