About the Position: This position is located with the Garrison Resource Management Office (GRMO), Fort Campbell, KY. Fort Campbell lies on the Kentucky/Tennessee border between Hopkinsville, KY & Clarksville, TN about 45 miles NW of Nashville. Both visitors & residents enjoy the shops & eateries of downtown Hopkinsville & Clarksville.

Duties

Prepare financial reports to provide the status of obligations and expenditures of funds, and comparisons of actual performance to the financial plan and identification of variances. Determines the propriety and cost effectiveness of funding requests. Locate and analyze data pertaining to the budgets for substantive programs. Reviews estimates and requests submitted, for compliance with rules, regulations, and procedures. Evaluates the effect of cost and program changes on the budget execution process. Manages and controls a major segment of an installation's budget for the prior fiscal years. Coordinate with area activities, component staffs, and key personnel regarding plans, programs, policies and procedures. Maintain budget within online system and maintain a funds allocation system to ensure accurate accountability for funds committed or obligated.

  • Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program.

OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
