You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST of NAVY EXCHANGE SERVICE COMMAND.
Duties
You will perform or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration.
You will implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets.
You will provide advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization's programs and activities.
You will develop, determine, and interpret budgetary policies and practices.

- This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying expert knowledge and understanding of financial management and budgetary policies, precedents, procedures, and regulations. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Analyzing and recommending costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management for an organization; 2) Interpreting budgetary/accounting policies and practices to resolve technical and operational problems; 3) Presenting and defending financial reports and estimates to senior leadership; and 4) Establishing, monitoring, and validating financial management commitments and obligations.
