Duties

The Office of Public Information and Education is responsible for providing information to the public and to the copyright community regarding U.S. copyright law and Copyright Office services. Staff of the Office of Public Information and Education respond to inquiries from the public, create and distribute Copyright Office publications, plan and execute a variety of educational activities, engage in outreach with diverse audiences via social media, and maintain the Copyright Office’s website.

Requirements

Qualifications

Applicants must have had progressively responsible experience and training sufficient in scope and quality to furnish them with an acceptable level of the following knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position without more than normal supervision. Ability to supervise and lead a diverse workforce.** Ability to provide advice and guidance.** Ability to build strategic collaborations, partnerships, and outreach programs.** Ability to present information orally through briefings and other presentations. Ability to provide program management, evaluation, and oversight on outreach and education information. Ability to communicate in writing and review the writing of others. Ability to communicate effectively other than in writing.
