About the Position: Serves as Chief, Installation Supply Support Activity (ISSA) and Supply Branch, Subject Matter Expert, and Technical Advisor for all matters associated with Installation Supply operations, services and supply policy and procedures.
Duties
Supervise assigned employees and provides program oversight of contractors in seven separate installation supply work centers.
Administer the retail supply programs, including such functions as inventory management, warehouse and storage management, stock control requirements determination, receipt and issue of supplies, oils and lubricants, and hazardous material.
Serve as policy advisor and Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all matters relating to the installation supply program.
Provide warehouse and supply support to military, civilian, and contractor personnel assigned, stationed or within the installation and the assigned Area of Responsibility (AOR).
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position is designated as Mission Essential.
- Position is subject to "ON-CALL" after normal duty hours.
- The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
- The employee may be required to work overtime.
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate valid state and/or government driver’s license.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) performing systems analysis of complex programs and major problems associated with supply systems; 2) managing Installation Retail Supply functions for the installation; 3) analyzing regulations and guidance regarding retail supply, organizational operations, and materiel management; and 4) reviewing inspection reports to ensure that corrective measures are taken on all action items. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
