Duties

Maintains and manages inventories of supplies and equipment, is responsible for inventory control records, and works with others to ensure 100% property accountability. Maintains key control register, accepts and delivers supplies and mail. Relocates property in accordance with (IAW) mission requirements. Responsibilities include in- and out-processing of staff, issues supplies, and coordinates turn-ins of equipment. Conducts physical inventories of equipment, SII, Hand receipt items, to ensure property accountability programs are being managed appropriately. Provides support to deliver, move, maintain, take inventory, and dispose of supply items, equipment, and furniture. Uses computer systems to keep track of items of issue, inventory, and purchases. Maintains a working knowledge of the Property Book, the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) Makes adjustments to the Property Book in the absence of the Property Book Officer (PBO) and performs other inquiries as required. Maintains all property books to reflect all items of property, repair parts, and components transferred, received, issued, returned.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as [insert applicable field(s) of study]. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Customer Service (Clerical/Technical)Manages and Organizes InformationSupply PlanningTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-???????06).
