This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Office of Entrepreneurial Development in Washington, D.C. The incumbent supports the day-to-day activities by performing a variety of confidential and sensitive duties to ensure compliance with all Federal administrative, procedural and regulatory practices.
Duties
Duties include, but are not limited to:
* Performing a variety of confidential and sensitive duties to ensure compliance with all Federal administrative, procedural and regulatory practices.
* Developing and coordinating preparation of briefing materials for the department head in advance of his/her participation in meetings, appointments with outside groups and with other offices within the SBA.
* Providing direction and controlling the preparation of OED official correspondence, monitoring overall systems, identifying problem areas, and implementing changes to improve efficiency and quality.
* Key scheduler and arranging travel for confidential and policy level conferences and meetings between the OED and high-ranking SBA officials, leaders of trade associations, high-level government agency representatives and industry groups.
Requirements

- You must successfully complete a background investigation.
- You may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.
Qualifications
GS-12: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector ALL of the following: (1) Arranging travel for confidential and policy level conferences and meetings; AND (2) Coordinating senior leaders' calendars; AND (3) Organizing appointments and briefings; AND (4) Preparing the following: reports for senior leaders; briefing materials; position papers; memorandums and policy documents; documents for personnel recruit actions as well as budget documents; AND (5) Editing written communications.
