About the Position: Serves as Chief, Plans, Training, Mobilization, Operations, and Security (PTMOS). Report directly to the Deputy Commander for Administration. Assign, task and provides guidance to staff offices in response to urgent and routine requests for information and recommendations on issues of plans, training, mobilization, operations and security, current events strategy and plans, and command and control. FT. KNOX, KY.

Duties

Ensure that agency projects are managed properly and completed in a timely manner while monitoring continuity and quality of actions. Develop and executes guidance for the coordination of efforts for post and local community wide partnership as it relates to actions and events to ensure that all resources are utilized properly Perform a wide range of managerial and supervisory tasks in planning, directing, and evaluating the facility with authority to make decision and commit to a course of action. Coordinate exercises, and training, assign work through subordinate supervisors and is available to discuss problems and develop solutions. Provide guidance, direction, and assistance to staff members. Serve as the Chief of Operations, for all tasks associated with the operations of the EOC Primary authority in disaster services in line with Emergency Preparedness Plans.

Requirements

  • The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include overtime, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license, and any installation, DOD and/or Federal license or certification required for vehicle operated. Must complete the Army Accident Avoidance Course.
  • This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) subject to a pre-employment drug screening, and random testing thereafter.
  • One-year probationary period may be required.
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • A Personnel security investigation may be required.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Tier 3, Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 25% of the time.
  • The employee must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance and access.
  • Position is designated as Mission Essential position during Inclement Weather Conditions or other designed/identified emergency conditions.
