About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain halfway between Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL just off Interstate 20. The Depot is the largest employer in Calhoun County with approximately 4000 employees.

Duties

Determines feasibility of producing products on a particular CNC machine. Develops sequence of machining operations to produce the required fabrication items or reclamation items utilizing the computerized interactive graphics system. Conducts depot-wide feasibility studies to determine item applicability of CNC equipment to the depot industrial operations. Analyzes engineering drawings to determine the feasibility of manufacturing a part entirely or partially by CNC machines. Considers relative cost between conventional and CNC methods (work-mix analysis), availability and capacity of regular and special tools, tolerance and surface finish required, product design, and quantity of parts required.
