You will serve as a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN for the NROTC UNIV OF MISSOURI.

Duties

You will perform a wide variety of supply tasks concerning supply technician support including receipt, storage, issue, and replenishment of supplies. You will determine and maintain stock levels of recurring and non-recurring specialized items. You will track and maintain property management records, and will serve as the point of contact for government vehicles. You will provide facilities coordination for university spaces assigned to the NROTC Unit including reserving space for particular functions and persons. You will validate, certify, and generate contracts and process student tuition, registration fees, and tuition assistance. You will process travel claims, parking fees, tolls, uniform alterations, and textbook reimbursements for students and staff. You will make purchases utilizing the government purchase card.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license
  • Incumbent may be required to lift and carry up to 40 pounds. Light equipment such as hand trucks may be used for lifting and carrying items.
  • Incumbent will be required to periodically work weekends/evenings to support requirements of the position.
  • Extensive travel for a 5 week period each year is required.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying supply regulations, policies, procedures, techniques and methods to maintain materials and supplies; 2) Maintaining automated supply systems/programs in accordance with procedures; 3) Tracking supply budget and reporting to verify available funding for the procurement of supplies; and 4) Practicing the execution of property management procedures and material control.
