About the Position: Provides independent administrative support from the Service Base location to support specific organization such as the Dredge Potter, Pathfinder and/or other Project specific location. Provides backup administrative support to alternate location upon request, and, assists the Project office, support staff, employees and labor crews with administrative actions.
This position allows for situational telework. This does NOT allow for full-time telework.
Duties
Serves as the expert for personnel administration and civilian pay policies for General Schedule and Wage Grade employees.
Maintains automated programs of current personnel.
Maintains suspense for supervisors of necessary personnel actions; such as appraisal due dates, within-grade increases, return to duty actions, etc.
Facilitates purchasing for the Service Base Provides personnel assistance in the use of the Purchase Requests and Commitments within the automated system and to prepare its documents.
Manages charge card accounts, commitments, obligations and expenditures as the Purchase Card Manager.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Position requires a fully qualified typist (40wpm).
- Must be able to travel frequently and perform normal duty at alternate TDY locations.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid government motor vehicle operator's license.

Minimum Qualifications GS-06
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) procuring supplies, equipment, and/or materials for an office/organization; (2) obtaining quotes, preparing purchase requests and amendments; (3) performing tasks concerned with incentive awards, training, travel, timekeeping, records management, and correspondence; (4) communication skills to interact with supervisors and other staff; and (5) requesting personnel actions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
