You will serve as a Procurement and Travel Technician in the Center for Naval Aviation Technical
Training (CNATT) of CTR FOR AVIATION TECHNL TRNG.
Duties
You will serve as the authorized government purchase credit card user for the acquisition of materials, supplies, and services.
You will utilize multiple computer applications such as Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (NAVY ERP), GSA Advantage, and government credit card applications.
You will function as the Defense Travel System (DTS) Certifying Officer (CO)/Approving Official (AO) implementing, maintaining, and enforcing system and other internal procedures and control points to minimize opportunities for erroneous payments.
You will maintain and examine for accuracy all official travel requests to ensure compliance with the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR).
You will provide mandatory travel card training, initial and refresher of internal operation procedures.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- Applicant must be able to lift 50 pounds to receive, issue, and store equipment, materials and supplies.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services.
Qualifications
GS-7 Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing oral and written communication to approve travel vouchers, solve budget issues, and produce reports; 2) Reviewing travel documents to validate accuracy, completeness, and compliance in accordance with travel guidance; 3) Purchasing supplies utilizing a government credit card ensuring transactions are proper and legal in accordance with government rules and regulations; and 4) Utilizing automated financial management systems to create purchase requests.
GS-6 Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing oral and written communication to solve problems, and assist customers on purchase card programs; 2) Building travel profiles in the Defense Travel System (DTS) for individual travelers and assisting in the reservation and vouchering process; and 3)Purchasing supplies utilizing a government credit card ensuring transactions are proper and legal in accordance with government rules and regulations.
