You will serve as a TRAINING SPECIALIST in the Training and Education Command (TECOM) of TRAINING AND EDUCATION COMMAND.
Duties
You will Conduct formal review of Course Description Data/Programs of Instruction (CDD/POI) for assigned POIs prior to submission to higher headquarters.
You will responsible for reviewing and assessing the adequacy of the CDD and POI products and serves as the quality control point for the battalion.
You will review CDDs and POIs data to include Instructor Computation Sheets( ICWs), Concept Cards, Tasks Lists, Lists of Equipment, Learning Objectives Report, Written and Performance Tests and other related materials.
You will review CDDs for compliance with Training lnput Plan( TIP) and ensure documentation and justification for anticipated shortfalls are addressed.
You will track Course Content Review Boards, course by course, and ensure that the approved recommendations contained in the Record of Proceedings {ROP) are addressed in proposed CDD/POI.
You will aid the training companies in the SAT process and monitor use of the MCTIMS program in producing CDD/POI for submission to higher headquarters.
You will coordinate with the MCTIMS System Administrator via the Academic Director to electronically forward completed CDD/POI to Training Command, Quantico.
You will maintain current Training Command and HQMC points of contact. Resolve discrepancies identified by higher headquarters during the CDD/POI review process.
You will develop technically and doctrinally sound training materials that effectively and efficiently enhance.
You will determine means of presentation and illustrations for instructional materials.
You will gather and analyze pertinent data, develop findings, and make recommendations that are largely modeled on precedents.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Knowledge of Systems Approach to Training (SA 1) sufficient to develop oral and written recommendations for improving the clarity, accuracy, and consistency of the product(s); Ability to gather and analyze pertinent data, develop findings, and make recommendations that are largely modeled on precedents; Comprehensive knowledge of the SAT process and the Marine Corps Training Information Management System) (MCTIMS )curriculum development program to interpret Marine Corps policy, perform courseware review functions, and recommend corrective action when deficiencies are identified; Knowledge of SAT/MCTIMS compliance sufficient to aid the training companies in the SAT process and monitor use of the MCTIMS program in producing CDD/POI for submission to higher headquarters; Ability to communicate orally and in writing; Knowledge of current operating procedures for Training and Education Command and AAS.

master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

LL.B. or J.D., if related
