You will serve as a Training Specialist in the U.S. Marine Corps of TRAINING AND EDUCATION COMMAND.
Duties
You will operate a learning management system in support of formal and informal self-study learning experience requirements.
You will collaborate with learning designers, learning facilitators, and learning assessors to define and plan technology enabled learning experience development requirements to include accountability measures and tracking mechanisms.
You will design, coordinate, create, trial and integrate interactive online self-paced exercises (such as using HTML 5 design tools) in Moodle or similar learning management systems.
You will operate web conference and recording capabilities such as Adobe Connect to create and revise videos to post in learning management systems and facilitate live sessions in support of faculty and learning.
You will design, coordinate, develop, validate, and integrate interactive e-books for learning with experience application protocol interface connections for tracking in a web-based learning record store.
You will design, coordinate, create, trial, and integrate tactical or technical problem based learning activities and simulation scenarios within a learning management system.
You will design, build and operate online learning communities using a learning management system.
You will validate self-study learning experiences with accountability to ensure learning requirements are addressed.
You will guide administration of the Marine Corps Training Information Management System (MCTIMS) and Total Learning Architecture (TLA) related to formal school management functions.
You will evaluate and collaborate to improve indicators of self-study learning assessment effectiveness across a learning program.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Interpreting training requirements and curriculum needs and independently adapting training to fit the needs of the learner; 2) Monitoring and evaluating the progress and outcomes for learners; 3) Facilitating learning through teaching, training, researching, making presentations, lecturing, testing, and other instructional methods; and 4) Determining objectives and strategies for a training program within an organization.
GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Operating a learning management system in support of self-study learning experiences; 2) Collaborating with learning designers, facilitators, and assessors to plan technology enabled learning experiences with accountability; 3) Operating web conference and recording capabilities to create, revise, and edit video in support of faculty and learning; and 4) Designing, building, and operating online learning communities using a learning management system.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-11:
Successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
Successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree
OR
Successfully completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled
OR
A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent
