About the Position: Serves as the Human Capital Strategist assigned to the PEO C3N HUMAN RESOURCES DIVISION DIVISION Located in APG, MD.

Duties

Serves as a senior technical advisor to the PM, with technical analysis, advice on designs (software and hardware), open systems architectures, and processes including Risk Management Framework (RMF). Performs the full range of administrative and technical supervisory duties. Assigns, directs, controls, and approves the work of professional engineers performing cyber engineering functions including design and execution of efforts in support of assigned programs. Responsible for understanding and actively supporting the PEO Affirmative Action/EEO Program, ensuring EEO principles are reflected in all aspects of personnel management. Represent through participation or providing technical expertise as the subordinate representation to committees, panels and working groups convened by DA, DoD, Joint Staff. Additionally, establishes and maintains extensive contact with top level officials of government, industry and academia to stay abreast of new technological advances. Identifies and defines information protection needs and security requirements for PM/PdM systems. Provides system-related input on System Engineering, Cyber Security, Test and Evaluation, and TEMPEST requirements to be included in statements of work and other appropriate procurement documents. Performs program acquisition activities including requirements development, requirements verification and validation, product maintenance and life cycle support. Assigns, directs, controls, and approves the work of professional engineers performing systems and cyber engineering functions including design and execution of efforts in support of assigned programs. Evaluating and comparing alternative architectures using qualitative and quantitative techniques; exploring large trade spaces.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position is a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP) and requires a 3-year tenure agreement.
  • This position requires the incumbent to possess 4 years of Acquisition experience.
  • A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for ENGINEERING AND TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT Certification within 60 months of entry on duty.
