Duties
As a Administrative Support Specialist you will:
Provide the full range of administrative services in response to the specific needs of the organization.
Conduct the purchase of a wide variety of supplies, equipment, and services needed to support the operations of the office using both the CDC Purchase Card program as well as Integrated Contracts Expert (ICE).
Contribute to the development, enhancement, and improvement of administrative and operational processes of the office's internal/ external systems, operating policies, planning, internal controls, assessments, and reporting requirements to promote process and business delivery improvements; enhanced customer service; and sustained efficient and effective strategic business operations.
Perform special projects to analyze and/or identify specific concerns or conditions with the potential to impact the operations of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify at the GS-11 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level, which must include the following experience: providing administrative, technical, and operational services and support for public health program(s) needs, including data analysis, customer service, service delivery, reporting, partner engagement, and resource support.
OR
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
OR
Have a combination of education and specialized experience that together meets 100% of the qualification requirement for this position.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
