Additionally, you will serve as Regional Outreach Officer and principal advisor for Outreach to the Regional Director, and will be responsible for formulating, implementing and executing the regional satellite office outreach plan consistent with the strategic goals of the USPTO!.
Duties
The physical worksite for this position is located in Detroit, MI.
TELEWORK: This position is eligible for telework up to 2 days per week and reports to the Elijah J. McCoy Midwest Regional Office - Detroit, MI headquarters for the remaining 3 days in the week (additional telework days per week may be granted at management's discretion).

Qualifications
You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position. You must meet all eligibility and qualifications requirements by the closing date of the job announcement. Specialized Experienceis experience that has equipped applicants with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the federal service.
GS13: The next lower grade level is equivalent to the GS12.
Specialized experience for this position includes:
Experience developing education programs which are focused on intellectual property, particularly patents and trademarks and business development, including connecting individuals and businesses to government based resources.
Experience developing implementing and documenting a strategic plan to engage in IP related discussions with the appropriate contact in appropriate organizations.
Experience establishing, maintaining, enhancing and monitoring effective collaborative working relationships with local and regional businesses and institutions.
GS14: The next lower grade level is equivalent to the GS13.
Specialized experience for this position includes:
Experience overseeing education programs which are focused on intellectual property, particularly patents and trademarks and business development, including connecting individuals and businesses to government based resources.
Experience managing a strategic plan to engage in IP related discussions with the appropriate contact in appropriate organizations.
Experience establishing, maintaining, enhancing and monitoring effective collaborative working relationships with local and regional businesses and institutions.
