This position is located in the Department of Public Safety, Office of Facilities and Infrastructure Management, United States Merchant Marine Academy, Maritime Administration (MARAD). The position is established to provide a broad range of support, administrative, and clerical duties for all security functions in the Department of Public Safety.

Qualifications
To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience requirements.
To qualify for the GS-06, you must have at least one year of equal or equivalent experience equal to the GS-05, which includes:
Experience using IT equipment, automated databases, and maintaining automated or hardcopy files.
Experience in providing customer service and utilizing effective communication skills when interfacing with the Academy community.
Experience applying physical security principles in the area of access control, key control, and vehicle registration management.
