THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a AVIATION RESOURCE MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D2934000 and is part of the CO 140 OSS, National Guard.

Duties

This position is located in the Air Operations Group of an Air National Guard Aviation Wing. The primary purpose of this position is to plan, analyze, manage and control all operational & administrative aspects of aviation resources, safety, training, and flight hours by utilizing the Aviation Resource Management System (ARMS). Serves as a management analyst with responsibility to advise and correct all operational and administrative aspects of the Aviation Resource Management System. User administrator for 5 additional computer systems that interface with the aviation resource management system. Perform the following operations for an average of 100 aircrew members. Provides go-no-go reports and conducts pre-mission and post-mission reviews; records aircrew and aircraft flying hour data; determines aviation service actions for attached and assigned flying personnel as it directly affects mission accomplishment and safety of flight. Develops and executes procedures for the completion of annual flight physicals and receipt of documentation medically clearing crewmembers for flight status. Researches, validates, and interprets Air Force Instruction (AFI) Mission Design Series (MDS), specific medical and physiological requirements and flying and ground training requirements; and compares with higher headquarters mission training requirements. Establishes shift schedules and assigns personnel based on workload to ensure adequate coverage of airfield/flight serves operations. May provide back-up to the Flight Services Manager. Interprets and administers laws and regulations regarding entitlement incentive pay. Execute career field development responsibilities. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
  • May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
  • Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
  • Membership in the Colorado Air National Guard.
  • Submit all required documentation.
  • For positions requiring the operation for motor vehicle, candidates must have a valid state driver's license for the state in which they live or are principally employed.
  • For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.

Qualifications

1. Specialized experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. 2. An applicant's RESUME must provide, in detail, how they meet each specialized experience listed below. 3. It must be documented with "from (mm/yy)" and "to (mm/yy)" dates and description of the specialized experience. 4. If education or a degree is required as part of the "Specialized Experience", you must include transcripts. DO NOT copy each bullet listed below word for word and place into your resume; you must describe your personal experience as it pertains to each bullet. You will be immediately disqualified if you fail to include specialized experience in your resume. Must have at least 12 months of Specialized Experience in each of the following: Equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Experience providing technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled. Thorough knowledge and understanding of administrative procedures and practices of management. Experience developing administrative procedures.

Education

Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience -

Completion of courses such as the Officer Advanced Course, Squadron
Officer School, Command and Staff College, Air and Army War College, National
Security Management Course and others of comparable level will be credited at the rate
of 1 month of education for 2 months of specialized experience.
