Duties

Serve as advisor and key member of the Office of the District Commander (O/DC). Develop comprehensive plans and strategies for the internal and external integration of day-to-day and long-range projects, actions and activities requiring the involvement of the DC Provide direction to administrative assistants and clerical personnel assigned to the Office of the District Commander and supporting programs. Process large volumes of correspondence to meet critical schedules of the Command Group. Serve as consultant and advisor to the DC and key operating officials on procedural and administrative matters pertaining to administrative management of the command.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Managing an automated calendar to schedule appointments; AND 2) Reviewing correspondence for senior officials; AND 3) Coordinating travel arrangements for supported personnel; AND 4) Planning or coordinating distinguished personnel visits. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. with a major study in quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or other fields related to the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
