You will serve as a SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MILITARY) of TSC SAN DIEGO.

Duties

You will review transactions submitted to update service members pay and personnel records. You will produce military HR metrics to manage service quality and productivity analysis. You will coordinate pay and personnel matters with other commands as necessary. You will oversee employee time and attendance. You will advise employees on performance requirements and produce appraisal reports.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing knowledge of Human Resource management laws, policies, and regulations to advise on and administer services for military pay and personnel actions; 2) Utilizing automated systems for reviewing, validating and processing federal pay and personnel records; 3) Reviewing and analyzing program effectiveness and regulatory compliance to improve processes/procedures; and 4) Prepare and present briefings and reports on status of human resource programs. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
