About the Position: Serves as the Customer Liaison for the MICC contracting activity/office center, installation contracting offices & other serviced organizations; to provide expertise in requirements analysis by providing advisory, planning, or reviewing services to customers on a wide variety of acquisition problems or projects.

Duties

Provides acquisition and contracting advice, assistance, and policy/procedure interpretation to personnel at the customer activity. Promotes customer understanding of contracting activity/office functions and operations by means of briefing sessions, personal contact, and correspondence. Advises contracting activity/office customers at the functional level regarding the management and oversight of contractor performance. Conducts research and analyzes the latest market trends, commercial practices, and technological advances for possible use in improving innovations and efficiencies in Army contracting.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the employee to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
• This position requires submission of a Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450, pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
• This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Contracting Professional within 36 months of entrance on duty in accordance with the DoDI 5000.66, change 3.
• Appointment to this position is subject to a two year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
