This position is in the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, 1300 Pennsylvania Ave., NW., Washington, DC, in the Bureau for Middle East, Office of Technical Support at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
Duties
Provides administrative and technical supervision to multiple employees performing work from GS-11/FS-04 up to the GS-15/FS-01 level equivalent.

Serves as the Agency expert in providing intellectual leadership and focus for private sector engagement and opportunity, as well as the collection, analysis, and dissemination of critical economic information on the countries of the Middle East
Engages, develops and directs staff to engage in strategic partnerships with financial institutions, investors, with the objective of aligning resources and approaches for programming, expanding the evidence base and disseminating best practices.

Requirements
- United States Citizenship is required.
- Relevant experience (see Qualifications below).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Time in grade must be met by the closing date of the vacancy announcement.
- Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered with the Selective Service.
- You may be required to serve a one year supervisory probationary period.
Qualifications
Specialized Experience:
GS-15: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 level in the Federal service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Examples of qualifying specialized experience at the next lower level for this position includes: a) Providing policy, strategic, and budget guidance supporting private sector and/or economic growth initiatives; b) Serving as an expert on the most challenging operational issues related to private sector and economic growth development programming in low or lower middle income countries; c) Leading diverse teams responding to international complex private sector or economic crises AND; d) Participating in the development of short- and long-range planning efforts. Experience in the Middle East and North Africa region is preferred..
SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR:
