This position(s) primary purpose is to serve as an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Manager. The incumbent independently develops and implements ADR and conflict management techniques for use throughout DEA in pre-complaint, formal complaints, and non Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) matters.
Duties
As an your typical work assignments may include:
Serving as the DEA technical authority to implement long-range and short-range planning guidance in accordance with 29 CFR 1614 (b)(2), Federal regulations (including DOJ guidance) for EEO and non-EEO matters.
Planning, developing, and managing the ADR program for the DEA, nationally and internationally; and resolving disputes at an early stage saving DEA significant funds.
Providing training and communicating conflict management principles agency-wide; and serving as the liaison with management in addressing all ADR matters.
Analyzing and evaluating conflicts and issues that affect substantive, mission-oriented programs of the DEA.
Representing the EEO Officer at meetings, conferences, and public appearances with senior Departmental Officials and other internal or external Agency stakeholders.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet the required qualification requirements described below by the closing date of the announcement.
Applicants applying for the GS-14 must meet one of the following requirements:
Have at least one full year of specialized experience that is at least equivalent to work performed at the GS-13 grade level. Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Qualifying experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Conducting research, litigation and judicial review on Alternative Dispute Resolution cases; 2) Investigating complex charges (i.e., discrimination) involving multiple issues, multiple charging parties or class actions, and major respondent organizations; 3) Addressing and recommending solutions to serious compliance problems; 4) Facilitating training sessions with topics that support an Alternate Dispute Resolution program.
