Organizational Location: These positions are located in the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Office of Partnership and Engagement, in Washington, District of Columbia.
These are non-bargaining unit positions.
Duties
As a Deputy Assistant Director, GS-15 you will perform the following duties:
Supervises multiple regional supervisors as the first line supervisor, as well as a second line supervisor of community relations officers, and provide programmatic oversight of OPE portfolio;
Develops and executes strategic plans and initiatives in support of the external partnership and engagement mission set, with clear vision and that achieves performance consistent with strategic priorities;
Partners with key internal and external stakeholders to drive engagement with community entities at the state, and local government level, as well as law enforcement and non-governmental organizations to provide education on agency operations;
Conducts risk assessments to minimize adverse operational impacts and promote program goals; and
Partners with the Office of External Affairs front office and sub-programs, including OCR, and OPA, to ensure unified messaging, increased coordination, and streamlined execution.

You qualify for the GS-15 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-14 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as:
