The primary purpose of this position IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) NH-2210-03 is to provide innovative cyber capability to enable and enhance Team Hill's missions through secure, reliable, and cost-effective services.
Duties
Serve as the Communications Security (COMSEC) Manager for all cryptographic activities including managing the Cryptographic Access Program; manages, audits and inventories base and tenant units COMSEC users material holdings at required intervals.
Develop and implements communications security criteria and requirements for inclusion in mobility, contingency, and exercise plans for the warfighter.
Implement and manages the AirForce Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) program.
Establish and manages the KMI transition process and services fielding concepts to ensure an accurate and smooth migration from the legacy Electronic Key Management System (EKMS) to KMI.
Perform EMSEC countermeasures assessments on Base facilities that process classified information; conducts EMSEC inspections, reporting, and customer education for the installation (all assigned and subordinate organizations to include tenants).

Qualifications
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Information Technology Management Series.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have, or within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement will have, IT-related experience demonstrating each of the following four competencies: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving AND I have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience which is equivalent to Federal experience at the next lower grade (GS-11), level, pay band (NH-02), or equivalent (pay schedule, pay band, etc). An example of creditable specialized experience is described as: assisting with work that involves ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data through the planning, analysis, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of information systems security programs, policies, procedures, and tools.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Ability to implement COMSEC security policies and procedures to ensure protection of information transmitted to the installation, among organizations on the installation, and from the installation.
Ability to apply Information Technology (11) security principles, methods, and security products to protect and maintain the availability, integrity, confidentiality, and accountability of information system resources and information processed throughout a system's life cycle.
Ability to gather facts and use effective analytical and evaluative methods to assess information, plan the sequence of actions necessary, make sound decisions, and solve a variety of COMSEC I Cybersecurity related problems; and to analyze component interrelationships and evaluate network systems and computer applications from an operational perspective.
Ability to maintain an up-to-date awareness of technological advances related to COMSEC, with the ability to clearly articulate (oral/written) future requirements and recommendations at all levels: end users through senior leadership.
Knowledge of the principles, policies, and procedures involved in ensuring the security of communications serves and data; and knowledge in maintaining the communications environment on which it resides.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
