Duties
The applicant
selected to fill this position will serve as a Special Agent in the
Investigations Division, Protective Services Bureau in any of its two Sections: Criminal Investigations Section or
Threat Assessment Section. The primary responsibility of this position is the
investigation of violations of the D.C. Code and Title 18, U.S. Code to include
allegations of criminal activity, terroristic activity, and threats or unusual
direction of interests against Members of Congress and other statutory
protectees of Congress that occur in the jurisdiction of the USCP as defined by
2 USC § 1966(a) & (f).Assignment to the Sections within the Investigations Division will be based on:
Qualifications
1. Must
be a USCP Officer below the rank of Sergeant; and must have attained the rank
of Private with Training by the closing date of this announcement. 2. Must have successfully completed the FTO training as of the date of
selection. 3. Must not be in restricted leave status as of the selection date. 4. Must be in full and unrestricted duty status to attend, participate, and
successfully complete all required training courses related to this
position as of the selection date unless otherwise authorized by law
(e.g., performance of duty injury, Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), or
Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA)). 5. Must possess a valid driver's license. 6. Must be available to work flexible and/or additional hours and travel on
short notice.Please

to obtain the rank of PSO Special Agent, candidate must have attained the rank
of PFC or PSO Training and must have satisfactorily completed the probationary
period outlined in this vacancy announcement under the Additional Information
section.

There is no education substitution for experience in this series and/or grade.
