You will serve as a Senior Advisor for the Small Business Administration (SBA), Office of Disaster Recovery & Resilience (ODR&R) Headquarters in Washington, District of Columbia. This position serves as the subject matter expert to the Associate Administrator (AA/DR&R) and the Deputy Associate Administrator (DAA/DR&R) in the areas related to strategic planning and initiatives, policy, and management priorities, change management, performance metrics, and trend analysis.
Duties
As a Senior Advisor at the GS-0301-15, some of your typical work assignments may include:
Overseeing successful accomplishment of strategic initiatives and policy and management priorities.
Recommending policy, organizational, and operational procedures regarding the management of ODR&R.
Coordinating with ODR&R leadership on major and sensitive issues.
Advising the ODR&R management on appropriate actions necessary to maintain an effective, efficient
organizational structure, to include manpower use and functional alignment.
Preparing policy statements, program proposals, and instructions for submission to the ODR&R
management for approval.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
This is a Permanent appointment in the competitive service with a full-time work schedule.
If required to travel to a disaster site, you may encounter hazardous working and/or living conditions, for example, no water or electricity and/or minimal lodging facilities.

Qualifications
Experience:
To receive credit, you must indicate the month and year as well as the average hours worked per week for each employer. You must address the specific specialized experience required for each grade level of this position on your resume or application or you will be rated "Ineligible" for that grade level.
GS-15: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector. This experience must demonstrate all of the following:
Experience drafting guidance and direction regarding program management and reporting; and
Developing plans, tasks, milestone dates and/or schedules to ensure proper sequencing of events and tracking of processes and costs throughout the life cycle of a program/project; and
Experience making recommendations for actions when adjustments or a different course of action is necessary; and
Applying analytical skills for the assessment and improvement of a program, management processes, and/or systems; and
Coordinating high-level meetings, conferences, and/or multi-organizational activities to ensure multiple departments, agencies, or organizations receive applicable official guidance from the leadership.
