About the Position: The purpose of this position is to serve as the MEPRS Assistant for the Medical Expense and Performance Reporting System (MEPRS) Branch, Resource Management Division (RMD), Eisenhower Army Medical Center (DDEAMC) assisting the MEPRS Analysts with the manpower, expense, and workload management systems.
Duties
Uses electronic data or reports from other official personnel systems to identify discrepancies between data in the systems.
Primary responsibilities are in support of the man-hour data for the Medical Expense and Performance Reporting System (MEPRS).
Coordinates corrections and adjustments with departments and work centers for accuracy.
Performs calculations when necessary to determine more accurate man-hour totals when reported man-hours do not correlate to the workload statistics and the work centers fail to make the appropriate corrections.
Provides individual and group briefings in the proper techniques for entering schedules of available and non-available man-hours.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A personnel investigation is required.
- Temporary duty away from duty station may be required up to 5% of the time.
- A qualified typist is required.

GS-05 Minimum Qualifications:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing reviews of outgoing reports to ensure accuracy and conformance with procedural instructions; experience preparing spreadsheets and generating reports in an automated system. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).
OR
Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college,
college or university in such areas of Business management, General management, etc. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the
computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.
Time in Grade Requirement: Candidates may be advanced without time restriction to positions up to GS-5 if the position to be filled is no more than two grades above the lowest grade within the preceding 52 weeks.
GS-06 Minimum Qualifications:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience reviewing personnel demographic data for accuracy in an
automated personnel database such as the Defense Medical Human Resources System Internet (DMHRSi); reviewing man-hour reports for discrepancies; and performing a variety of clerical tasks in support of a medical facility. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal
service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
GS-07 Minimum Qualifications:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience utilizing electronic databases to identify discrepancies
between data in an automated system; analyzing data to generate reports for a medical facility; and reviewing regulations, directives, and manuals for regulatory guidance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal
service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
