About the Position: This position is located at Army Medical Center for Reource Management.

Duties

Serve as subject matter expert for the Defense Medical Human Resources System Internet (DMHRSI) to assist departmental staff with the bi-weekly submission/correction of DMHRSI timecards. Conducts training to DDEAMC, outlying clinics and DENTAC personnel to ensure accurate and comprehensive reporting of DMHRSi LCA data throughout DDEAMC. Researches any discrepancies to obtain the correct information and notifies the appropriate POC to have data corrected in either the personnel source system or DMHRSi, depending on which system had the incorrect data. Provide recommendations for improvement on organizational processes/workflow to staff. Identify problem areas to ensure man-hours are entered by suspense date for staff.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position has Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time, but is only required once every 1-3 years when DMHRSi training is offered.
  • A qualified typist is required.
  • This position is inclement weather essential. This means that you must be willing to make every attempt to report for duty on time and/or remain on duty during severe weather conditions.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. GS-06 Minimum Qualifications: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience reviewing personnel demographic data for accuracy in an automated personnel database such as the Defense Medical Human Resources System Internet (DMHRSi); reviewing man-hour reports for discrepancies; and performing a variety of clerical tasks in support of a medical facility. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05) GS-07 Minimum Qualifications: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience utilizing electronic databases to identify discrepancies between data in an automated system; analyzing data to generate reports for a medical facility; and reviewing regulations, directives, and manuals for regulatory guidance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06). Typing Proficiency: A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
