This position is located in the Enforcement Division in the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). The incumbent is responsible for managing litigation support staff such as investigators, financial analysts, economists, and e-law litigation support specialists who support Enforcement attorneys engaging in investigations and litigation in support of Enforcement's mission.

Duties

As a Supervisory General Attorney, you will: Manage approximately thirty staff across a range of disciplines engaged in the support of investigations and litigation of administrative and court actions. Plan overall approach to the litigation support work and ensure the work is accomplished in compliance with established and emerging policies and practice. Develop, recommend, and implement needed policies, procedures, and guidelines for conducting investigation and litigation support functions that support CFPB's enforcement mission, goals, and priorities.

Minimum Qualifications for All Grade Levels: Law Degree: Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited law school with an LL.B., J.D. or equivalent. Bar Membership: Applicants must be a current member of a bar with a valid license to practice law in a state, territory of the United States, District of Columbia, or Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. AND For the CN-72: 7 years of related experience. Such experience must include experience as a licensed attorney or directly related in order to be creditable, one of which is at or equivalent to the CN-60 (GS-14); OR You must have thirty-six (36) months of specialized experience at the CN-60 level (equivalent to the GS-14 level) that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to successfully perform the duties of this position. Specialized Experienceis defined as: Experience in federal consumer financial protection law; AND Experience conducting investigations and/or litigation, including working with investigators, economists, and e-litigation support specialists. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
