You will serve as a PURCHASING AGENT in the NAVFAC MIDLANT, SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMET BRANCH, NSA PHILADEPHIA of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.
Duties
You will be responsible for implementing Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) for a variety of complex and specialized requirements for materials, supplies, services, construction, and/or equipment.
You will analyze a variety of documents and information for pre-solicitation packages and through independent research using specialized
technical knowledge.
You will be responsible for protecting the integrity of the procurement process through training, a working knowledge of applicable processes/procedures
You will serve as a warranted buyer responsible for a wide variety of materials, supplies, services, construction, and/or equipment.
You will analyze, resolve and performs research to identify the causes of vendors discrepancies.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- You must be able to successfully complete required training courses (i.e.: Department of Defense Government Purchase Card training) specified in the most current versions of the GCPC regulations and as directed by the GCPC Agency Program Coordinator.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Utilizing automated information systems and software programs, such as MAXIMO, Microsoft Office Applications and Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP); 2) Applying knowledge and skill in the principles and theories of the material procurement process and accountability of materials; 3) Leveraging automated information systems to transfer data requirements; 4) Utilizing knowledge of material and equipment used in Public Works facilities, utilities, and transportation services; and Serving as a warranted buyer responsible for materials, supplies, services, contraction, and/or equipment.
