Duties

You will work with customers and stakeholders to solve technical problems and provide technical support both in a distance and on-site capacity. You will work with Afloat Submarine C4I IPT to assist in or lead the Common Submarine Radio Room Multi-Reconfigurable Training System project planning for the installation, testing and implementation of new systems and technologies shipboard. You will perform system testing, fielding, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance to restore or maintain MRTS systems to normal operating condition. You will develop service level agreements that define requirements/expectations for the delivery of customer support services and implement performance criteria to ensure that requirements are met. You will implement performance metrics to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of the customer support center, applying results in increasing productivity, improving service quality and professionalism. You will be calculating metrics within existing performance measurement systems and assisting customer support representatives in their application.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or NO-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Knowledge of submarine communication technologies AND expertise working with customers to solve technical problems and provide technical support.
