This position is located in Management Directorate, Intake and Document Production, Document Management Division.
As a Management and Program Analyst, you will perform a wide range of administrative and analytical duties in support of the organizational operations.
Duties
The responsibilities described are for the full performance level. At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope performed with less independence, and limited complexity.
Implements, coordinates, and/or oversees a variety of management programs and activities that support the processing of immigration and citizenship benefit requests.
Designs, executes, and engages in specialized studies focused on key functions that enhance program improvement and innovation.
Responsible for conducting analytical reviews to support document management operations by analyzing data, recommending actions, tracking expenditures, assisting with annual plan reviews, and addressing efficiency-related issues in program areas.
Serves as a liaison between managers, supervisors, and staff across the agency, as well as with external stakeholders to effectively execute projects and programs, deliver technical assistance, and facilitate training initiatives.
Plans, organizes, creates, and provides training for managers, supervisors, and analysts on all aspects of quality control and sampling for the assigned program areas, including requirements, analysis, reporting, forecasting, and maintenance.
Qualifications
The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 12/05/2024.
Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 12/05/2024.
GS-11: You qualify at the GS-11 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-09 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties:
Assisting in overseeing a diverse array of projects and programs to within the organization to meet mission requirements.
Preparing and participating in special studies that aid in program development and efficiency.
Developing and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) that clearly outline the tasks performed.
Facilitate project and program planning by coordinating briefings and presentations for integrated project teams and supervisors.
OR
You may substitute a doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent degree) or three (3) full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in any field, or L.L.M. if related for experience at the GS-11 grade level or such education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university and demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position. Check with your school to determine how many credit hours comprise three years of graduate study. If that information is not available, use 54 semester or 81 quarter hours.
GS-12: You qualify at the GS-12 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties:
Manage initiatives and activities to provide guidance and analysis to management and staff.
Conducting data analyses to present assessment results and brief management, utilizing a range of programs to deliver comprehensive reports.
Providing technical assistance and direct support to managers and supervisors in a variety of matters to meet mission requirements and department policies.
Designing and implementing controls for data submissions while reviewing each for substance, compliance with instructions, and completeness before final approval and project execution.
