About the Position: Service is of an executive nature, comprised of complex leadership and administrative components, associated with critical health care issues and activities that influence the organizational mission, health care, and policy. Serves within the Office of the Surgeon General (OTSG) and U.S. Army Medical Command (USA MEDCOM) with headquarters offices located in the National Capitol Region (NCR) and San Antonio, Texas (SAT).

Duties

Serves as the Chief of the Army Brain Health Program for the U.S. Army Medical Command and functions as the singular subject matter expert regarding brain health issues to include but not limited traumatic brain injury (TBI). Comprehensive oversight for all brain health related services throughout MEDCOM, to include cognitive monitoring translating best practices into policies; procedures and guidance. Directs and coordinates the work of multidisciplinary staff. Subordinate staff consists of six senior military officers in the ranks of major or lieutenant colonel and one Department of Army Civilian.
