This position is located in Keweenaw National Historical Park, MW Division performing various masonry tasks in the stabilization and rehabilitation of structures. The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period for is April - October but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: May

Duties

Assist in the maintenance, repair, and restoration of structures and surfaces constructed of stone, the preparation of test mixes and prepares mortars according to specifications. Remove damaged portions of walls, partitions or other similar structures in preparation for repair. Cap, reset, respall, grout and reinforce walls so that the repaired portion closely matches the original, undamaged portions of the structure. Work is documented under the direction of a higher-graded employee. Load and unload cement, soil, stone, tools and equipment, and stacks and handles stone building materials and supplies.
