This position is located in a National Park Service unit. The primary purpose is to perform laboring duties that require moderately heavy physical effort requiring the use of common hand tools and power equipment. Incumbent must operate light duty motor vehicles weighting up to 10,000 pounds on a regular basis. Open to the first 60 applicants or until 12/06/2024 whichever comes first. Minimum Requirements for Laborer (Motor Vehicle Operations): To qualify for this position, you must possess a current, valid state driver's license; or, possess the ability to obtain one by entrance on duty. If you do not, possess a current, valid state driver's license by the expected entrance on duty date, you will lose consideration. To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision. (SCREEN OUT) Work Practices (includes keeping things neat, clean and in order) Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (other than blueprints) Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Dexterity and Safety If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT factor above is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration.
