About the Position: Serves as Program Manager and is responsible for administering and executing an assigned program for the Corps regulatory program within the Kansas City District which encompasses counties in Kansas and Missouri. The regulatory program is directed toward improving and enhancing the physical, biological, and chemical integrity of the nation's water resources and ensuring that regulated water activities are not contrary to the public interest.

Duties

Assures compliance with the governing public laws and regulations, interagency agreements, policies of Corps Headquarters, and the directives of the District Commander. Acts as advisor to the Branch Chief on the execution of the regulatory program. Plans and directs the implementation of functional responsibilities of the regulatory program which includes the following activities: Permit Process; Enforcement/Compliance; Programmatic initiatives and requirements.. Exercises delegated authority to promote productivity, effective management and high morale. As the Supervisor, coordinates day-to-day activities of a staff of approximately seven positions.

Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in engineering. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with at least 4 of the following areas (1) processing Section 404 and Section 10 permit reviews; (2) wetland delineation; (3) completing approved Jurisdictional Determinations; (4) completing Regulatory permit enforcement, compliance actions, and investigations; (5) knowledge of state wetland and water regulations; (6) knowledge of other federal laws such the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the Endangered Species Act (ESA), the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA..
