You will serve as a TRAINING TECHNICIAN in the CHIEF OF NAVAL AIR TRAINING (CNATRA) HEADQUARTERS of CNATRA.
Duties
You will ensure that training system workstations are configured according to specifications provided by the Training Management Systems (TMS) designers.
You will troubleshoot Computer Based Training System (CBTS) issues; coordinate with other departments and commands to resolve issues when required.
You will prepare detailed descriptions of new configuration and operating characteristics and supplement operator instructions to describe the application of such changes in daily operations.
You will provide functional expertise to coordinate user operational issues as they pertain to the application software, testing, system interfaces and other technical issues directly related to the (NATRACOM) Corporate Management Systems.
You will monitor the status of Navy Marine Corps Internet (NMCI) workstations used for training by observing master displays or being notified of problems by students, instructors or squadron staff.
You will ensure all training takes into consideration the overall data strategy of Chief of Naval Air Training (CNATRA) to meet the requirements and demands of the Naval Air Training Command (NATRACOM) Quality Metrics Program.
You will monitor the operations of multiple software applications, including Training Management System, Computerized Testing Systems, and Configuration Management Systems.
You will provide newly hired employee training prior to the Training Air Wing (TRAWING) TMS Functional Administrator (TFA) assigning specific user permissions to use the Naval Air Training Command (NATRACOM) corporate TMS.
You will collaborate with system specialists in planning and implementing the introduction of major new application programs and additions or changes to equipment and operating system software.
You will receive overall work objectives from the immediate supervisor and provide direct customer TMS operational application training to al assigned military aviation personnel, federal and contract support employees.
You will serve as the intermediate developmental position for the Education and Training Technician, GS-1702-07 position.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
FOR GS-07
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing training systems analyses to resolve technical issues; and recommending improvements to support quality and functionality of training processes.
FOR GS-06
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing support functions for a training program by monitoring a training management system; and recommending data entry solutions to promote training consistency.
