Duty Location: Lakewood, Colorado

Duties
The incumbent serves as the Deputy and alter ego of the Chief of the public affairs group and fully shares the overall responsibility for the oversight and management of the public affairs office.
Qualifications
In order to be rated as qualified for this position, the HR Office must be able to determine that you meet the specialized experience requirement - this information must be clearly supported in the resume.
To qualify at the GS-14, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Planning, coordinating, or executing resource management functions across a Public Affairs Program that specialized in supporting water resource management, water supply management, or hydropower management; 2) Evaluating or developing business management operation policies for Public Affairs Program that specialized in supporting water resource management, water supply management, or hydropower management; 3) Performing fiscal management to provide resource planning and requirements forecasts for Public Affairs Program that specialized in supporting water resource management, water supply management, or hydropower management; 4) Advising leadership on resolving policy issues and Public Affairs Program matters that specialized in grant funding outreach campaigns. Time-In-Grade: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower-grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b).
You must meet all Eligibility and Qualification requirements, including time-in-grade restrictions and any selective placement factors if applicable, by 12/02/2024.
