This National Guard position is for a TRAINING SUPPORT OFFICER, Position Description Number T7200000 and is part of the FL CBJTC, National Guard.
Duties
As a Training Support Officer, GS-0301-12, you will manage and supervise the training support center operations, prepares and manages the ARNG Training Center Soldier Training Support Program including, Training Support Center Management, Loan, Issue, and Storage of TADSS including Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement Systems (MILES); Provides/manages Virtual TADSS support including training of system instructor/operators and maintenance of TADSS. Provides training and familiarization of systems and non-systems TADSS, loan, issue, publish, and distribution of graphic training aids (GTAs); design, and management of local TADSS; and packaging and shipping of all TADSS products within the Army Training Support System Enterprise. Provides the full spectrum of management duties and responsibilities as the Training Support Officer including Training Support Center Operations; planning, programming, and budget execution of the Soldier Training Support Program resources in accordance with AR 1-1 for Training, and Budget Analysis System (TBAS) Management Decision Packages (MDEPs); prepares and submits the annual Training Support Center (TSC) operational budget requirements; establishes and maintains training records including submission of required utilization reports to Installation, Command, ARNG and DA program offices. Attends all program related conferences and professional business forums. The mission of the Training Support Branch is to provide and allocate the training support products, services, and facilities to the warrior stakeholders within the assigned AR 350-52 area of responsibility required to enable their assigned core and directed Mission Essential Task List (METL) requirement, Combined Arms Training Strategies, and Programs of Instruction. The incumbent supervises the maintenance and safe use of all products, services, and facilities; stores and issues training support supplies and equipment; and controls training activities for doctrinal correctness. The incumbent is responsible for oversight of training support modernization projects under the military construction program.

Qualifications
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Service "under the authority of Title 5, P.L. 114-328, Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA)", and is open to current on-board (Tenure 1, 2 and 3) US Federal employees interested in helping the Department of the Army meet our mission requirements as a Training Support Officer.
PCS- Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, Recruitment or Relocation Incentive MAY be authorized. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses, Recruitment or Relocation Incentive will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard.
FLNG BUS Code 8888: This position is "excluded" and ineligible for labor organization representation.
**TEMPORARY PROMOTION- For On-board FLNG Title 5 selectees only: This is a special program funded position. Permanent employees in the Title 5 excepted civil service who accept this position will
retain their permanent tenure status AND return to their previous Title 5 position if/when funding is halted.
**INDEFINITE APPOINTMENT-For On-board FLNG Title 32 selectees only: An on-board individual employed in the Title 32 excepted civil service who accepts this position, will receive an indefinite appointment (Tenure 3) to the T5 Excepted service. The indefinite appointee will have no reemployment rights to any other position and may be separated.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience, education or training which provided a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration. Compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to-person contacts to convey information. Progressively responsible experience which demonstrates the ability to provide technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-11 must have at least one year of specialized experiences at the GS-09 level or the equivalent which provides knowledge and/or experience, education or training in program or managerial experience in a type of work or a combination of functions directly related to the position to be filled or in comparable work or functions. Experience developing and recommending policy; organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of operations. Experience in supervisory, staff or technical work which included study, analysis or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of managerial or administrative policies, practices and procedures. Experience preparing written communications and oral presentations. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
