The Supply Technician is responsible for a variety of supply actions for the Northeast Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) and medical center sites. The employee oversees stock inventory, uses an automated inventory tracking system and establishes or adjusts stock levels. This position is located in Chelmsford, Massachusetts.
Duties

Duties include but may not be limited to:
Utilizes an automated inventory management system and barcode system.
Monitors stock and reorders when stock when low or at a specified reorder point.
Processes supply transactions such as receipt, shipment, and adjustment documents.
Communicates and meets with groups of suppliers and customers to arrange the acquisition of supplies while maintaining compliance with regulations.
Utilizes bar coding equipment to perform inventory functions.
Performs database maintenance to include the removal of old items and the addition of new items.
Monitors expiration dates, rotates stock, removes outdated items and maintains work and storage areas in a safe, clean and orderly manner.
Serves as delegated contracting authority for procurements and uses a government purchase credit card to purchase products and services.
Maintains responsibility for reconciling charges and resolving purchase card discrepancies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicant(s) must meet one of the following qualifications:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Requires at least one (1) year of experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of this Supply Technician position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-4). Examples of qualifying experience include utilizing an automated inventory management system; maintaining inventory/stock; adjusting stock levels and re-ordering stock as needed. (Resume(s) must clearly support the duties to be creditable. We will not make assumptions regarding experience.)

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED): Successfully completed 4 years of education above the high school level in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite.

COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED): Equivalent combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirement. Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement.

IMPORTANT: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. All experience listed on your resume must include the month and year start/end dates. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The work requires regular and recurring physical exertion such as long periods of standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching and similar activities in and around storage areas. The employee may be called upon to assist in the storage and distribution of medical supplies primarily consisting of lifting boxes up to 50 pounds, and placing them on shelves or carrying them to another area of the service that they are working in.
