You will serve as a PHYSICAL SECURITY SPECIALIST in the ADMINISTRATION AND OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of NAVHLTHRSCHCEN SDIEGO.

Duties

You will provide technical expertise and authority for the development, coordination, implementation, management, and oversight of all Health Research Center sites for physical security You will provide development, coordination and functional oversight of Antiterrorism and Force Protection related matters at each site and facility. You will plan, formulate, and coordinate all matters pertaining to the protection and security of personnel, property, and material You will work closely with all appropriate Force Protection Directorates Aboard Base Point Loma in providing and receiving physical security guidance You will serve as alternate Security Manager and alternate Operations Security (OPSEC) manager for the command. You will conduct Terrorism Threat Assessments reviews for sites and facilities aboard the installation

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience developing antiterrorism, emergency management and force protection directives, regulations, policies, and guidance. Experience implementing security processes, methods, and techniques in use of systems and devices. Experience monitoring security programs to ensure the regulations/guidelines are administrated in accordance with the Physical Security Program Experience managing access control resources and equipment, including cypher locks, command keys, fobs, intrusion detection systems and key cards Experiencing managing and tracking the personnel security data related to security clearances and background investigations Experience using automated personnel systems and databases to analyze, query and input data Experience handling classified materials and records management in accordance with regulations Experience providing training, briefings and liaison work as command antiterrorism and force projection officer/physical security program. . Education

In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
  • Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

  • 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

  • LL.M., if related
