You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the N2/39 ORGANIZATION of COMMANDER THIRD FLEET.

Duties

You will manage and operate a non-standard Navy-wide and a Joint Personnel Security and Access Control database. You will establish and maintain electronic and paper facility records for subordinate commands that require C3F SAP assistance in managing their command programs. You will act as courier of classified material and equipment. You will provide program indoctrinations and debriefings of highly technical and sensitive special projects to Navy and civilian officials up to and including Flag Officers and SES on a Need-to-Know (NTK) basis. You will problem solve involving SAP security in all areas to include personnel and administration, construction, facilities, operations and training. You will review Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Systems Security Plans (SSP), and Exercise and Test Security Plans for C3F. You will assist in the development and establishment of SAP policies and procedures.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector deral service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing security management and oversight in support of classified and sensitive security programs.
