About the Position: This position is with the U.S Army Sustainment Command, 404TH Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Transportation Division, located in JBLM, WA.
Duties
Conduct quality assurance inspections to ensure food program compliance.
Audit, inspect, and document noncompliance, submitting required reports to the Contracting Officer Representative (COR).
Use Automated Food Management Information System (AFMIS) as a database for program review and serves as on-site system administrator.
Review facility operations to ensure service and quality are maintained.
Develop surveillance techniques to inspect food service facilities and food service equipment.
Monitor and advises food service matters including but not limited too account status’, food cost evaluations, and inspections.
Attend food service briefings, seminars, workshops, and conferences concerning food service support.
Coordinate with the Preventive Medicine Office on sanitation standards and trainings.
Maintain records on all food service equipment for replacement.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- Business travel required up to 25% of the time.
- This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Employee shifts are rotated on a regularly scheduled basis.

Specialized Experience: Your resume must reflectone year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Use databases to monitor service programs 2) Review reports pertaining to food services operations 3) Coordinate with supervisors on work assignments to improve working methods. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Food Service Management or another related field.
OR,
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Education
