About the Position: This position is located with the Army Sustainment Command, 404th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Supply and Services Division, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA.

Duties

Direct and manage the installation Food Service program. Plan, develop, and prioritize overall operational and logistics requirements to ensure proper use of food service resources. Oversee that food safety and sanitation programs are in accordance with standards. Perform on-going evaluations of the Installation's food program doctrine, policy, plans, procedures, operations, and support systems with an emphasis on the management. Perform planning for the LRC by analyzing food service mission assignments, establishing program objectives, and developing current and long-range plans for accomplishment of assigned functions. Plan and assign work, set priorities, advise employees on program goals and objectives, and make decisions on work problems presented by subordinate employees.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • A National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) Background Investigation is required.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time. Travel may include site visits to stateside and overseas locations.
  • This position requires the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain food service safety certifications required by Technical Bulletin Medical 530-Tri Serviced Food Code and Army Regulation 30-22 Army Food Program.
